Over 98,300 tons of rapeseed purchased from farmers in Iran

So far, more than 98,300 tons of rapeseed have been purchased in 13 provinces of Iran, according to Iran’s Government Trading Corporation (GTC), Trend reports with reference to the corporation’s website.

The report said that 26,200 cargoes of rapeseed have been handed over to the specially envisaged centers since the start of the purchase of agricultural products.

Purchases of rapeseeds from farmers in 122 centers in Khuzestan, Golestan, Ilam, Mazandaran, Fars, Bushehr, Razavi Khorasan, Sistan and Baluchestan, Qom, Kerman, Kermanshah, Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad, as well as Hormozgan provinces continue.

The price established for purchasing of rapeseeds in Iran is 34,400 rials (about $0.81). In Iran, farmers sell their products (wheat, barley, rapeseed) under guarantees to the state-owned company and gradually receive the money for their products.
