Iran exported 28 million tons of metal products worth $6.83 billion during the three months (March 21 – June 21) this Iranian year (started March 21, 2019), according to statistics from the Iranian Customs Administration, Trend reports with reference to IRNA.
In this period, Iran also exported 5.5 million tons of steel ingots worth $2.23 billion.
In the three months, Iran produced 5.2 million tons of steel ingots, having increased the production by 3 percent compared to the same period last year. Some 0.3 million tons of the total export volume accounts for steel ingots manufactured in the previous periods.
The highest production volumes were recorded at Mobarakeh Steel Company (2.37 million tons), and the lowest production volumes - at Binab steel plant (47,200 tons).
