Cotton fiber makes over half of share in exports of Uzbek commodity exchange

The deals concluded on the Uzbek Commodity Exchange (UZEX) for the period from July 22-28, 2019, amounted to 813.9 billion soums, Trend reports with reference to UZEX.

The total amount of transactions involving small businesses and private entrepreneurship amounted to 394.3 billion soums with an increase of 12.1 percent.

The volume of exchange trading increased from 592 to 690.1 billion soums. On the currency trading platform, the sale of goods has doubled to $4.6 million.

Cotton fiber made up 59 percent in the export structure, gasoline pyrolysis - 27 percent, polymers - 11 percent, and other products amounted to 3 percent.

The volume of exhibition and fair trade last week amounted to 20.9 billion soums. The amount of goods purchased by small businesses amounted to 6.1 billion soums, or 29 percent of the total amount of transactions.

Last week, transactions worth 99.1 billion soums were concluded through xarid.uz, a special information portal on public procurement. This amount exceeded the previous week by 64.6 percent.

The total amount of savings of budget and corporate customers exceeded 21.6 billion soums.

During the period under review, 961 car license plates were sold through an online auction. The cumulative amount of sold state license plates was about 3.7 billion soums.

As a result of competitive bidding, 22.2 percent of deals were made on premium class license plates, 48.9 percent of deals on category 2 and also 28.9 percent on category 3 of license plates.
