Loading, unloading of goods at Iran’s Chabahar port grows 43%

Until Sept. 6 of this Iranian year (started March 21, 2019), the volume of oil and non-oil products loaded and unloaded in Chabahar port in Iran’s Sistan and Baluchestan province increased by 43 percent compared to the same period last year, said Behrooz Aghaei, director general of the Ports and Maritime Organization of Iran’s Sistan and Baluchestan Province, Trend reports with reference to Iran’s Ports and Maritime Organization Sept. 14.

He said that the volume of cargo loaded and unloaded by the ships with capacity of over 1,000 tons increased by 27 percent, exports of non-oil products by 100 percent, and oil products transferred by cabotage – by 103 percent.

He added that the Chabahar port is Iran’s biggest maritime port and has the proper infrastructure to supply essential products to Iran.
