Azerbaijan to open facility for processing livestock products

It is planned to open a facility for processing livestock products in one of the regions of Azerbaijan by late 2019, Head of the Association of Women Entrepreneurs of Azerbaijan Sakina Babayeva told Trend.
According to her, a new facility for washing and cleaning sheep’s wool and skins will open in Azerbaijan’s Goranboy district in December 2019.
"In the future, it is planned to open such facilities in Imishli, Bilasuvar, and Tovuz districts. Overall, this step is aimed at exporting processed livestock products. Turkey is considered as a potential market," Babayeva said.
She went on to say that it is planned to open such facilities in the regions of the country in the future through the efforts of the association and with direct state support.
Processing facilities are planned to be created in 10 regions of the country, Babayeva added.
According to statistics, over 143,000 women are employed in the business sector of Azerbaijan today.
The Association of Women Entrepreneurs of Azerbaijan was created with the support of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs of Azerbaijan and was established in October 2017.
