SECO, Association of Women Entrepreneurs open small enterprise in Azerbaijan’s district

The Association of Women Entrepreneurs of Azerbaijan is planning to open a new beauty salon within the framework of a project implemented in Azerbaijan with financial support from the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs of Switzerland (SECO), Head of the Association of Women Entrepreneurs of Azerbaijan Sakina Babayeva told Trend.

According to her, the new facility is to be opened in Azerbaijan’s Tovuz District.

"The cost of the project is 120,000 manats. The project is funded by the Association and SECO, and each of the parties contributes 50 percent of the financial resources. The new facility will be commissioned in December of this year and 15 new job places will be created," she said.

According to Babayeva, the new salon is aimed at supporting the development of women's entrepreneurship in the regions.

According to statistical data, over 143,000 women are employed in the sphere of business in Azerbaijan.

The Association of Women Entrepreneurs of Azerbaijan was established in October 2017 with the support of Azerbaijan’s State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs.
