Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Internal Affairs has made the ‘Invitation of a Foreigner’ service available online, Trend reports with reference to the press office of the ministry.
According to the ministry, issuing an entry invitation is among the most popular provided services.
Currently, the service which previously required 30 or more days will from now on only require five days via country’s visa and migration portal.
So the person issuing the invitation to a foreigner must do the following using their personal account:
- fill out an application and enter information about the foreigner;
- pay the state fee via the payment gateway of electronic government;
- five working days later, the applicant will receive a 10-digit registration number of the invitation via personal account, which must be reported to a foreign citizen.
- a foreign citizen must fill out an application on the visa-migration portal and after 15 minutes they will receive an electronic visa;
After taking these measures, all is left for a foreigner to print the electronic visa and present in when passing passport control at the border of Kazakhstan.
Currently, one can go through passport control at the international airports of the cities of Nur-Sultan and Almaty using an electronic visa.
Electronic visa will be introduced at other checkpoints across the country’s border in 2020.
