Tariffs for paid services to the population in Uzbekistan have increased in December 2019, amounting to 0.3 percent, compared to November, Trend reports citing Uzbekistan’s State Statistics Committee.
In 2019, tariffs in the field of paid services to the population on average increased by 15.2 percent.
Since the beginning of 2019, food prices have increased by an average of 18.6 percent; non-food products rose by 10.9 percent during this period.
More than others in December 2019, in comparison with November went up services of a domestic nature (1 percent), services in the field of sports and healthcare (0.5 percent each), cultural institutions (0.4 percent).
The growth of tariffs for other groups of services for the month did not exceed the group average of 0.3 percent.
As for the change in tariffs for paid services to the population as a whole over the year, of the main groups, their most notable growth was registered for education services (22 percent), pre-school educational institutions financed from the state budget (20.5 percent), and household services (18.8 percent), housing and communal services (17.8 percent), sports services (13.3 percent), recreation (13.2 percent).
Passenger transport services became more expensive during this period by 12.9 percent, medical services - by 11.7 percent, cultural institutions - by 7.7 percent, communications - by 5.2 percent.
In 2019, in the field of housing and communal services, tariffs for cold water supply and sewage, electricity, network and liquefied gas increased significantly more than others. Prices for hot water and heating services increased less noticeably.
Electric city transport services are leading in the growth of tariffs in the field of passenger transportation while air and train travel have become less expensive.
