Iran discloses export volume to Iraq

Products worth $5.7 billion, excluding electricity, have been exported from Iran to Iraq this Iranian year (began on March 21, 2019), Secretary of Iran-Iraq Joint Chamber of Commerce Hamid Huseyni said.

“On average, Iran exported the products worth $750 million a month to Iraq,” Huseyni added, Trend reports referring to the Young Journalists Club.

The secretary said that the volume of goods exported by Iran to Iraq increased over the past week.

About 2,000 tons of products, including 442 tons of fruits and vegetables, 775 tons of food and drinks and 759 tons of building materials were exported through Chazzabeh checkpoint in Iran’s Khuzestan province during nine months (from March 21 through December 21, 2019).

More than 2,100 tons of products, including 125 tons of fruits and vegetables, 1,610 tons of building materials and 449 tons of chemicals were exported through Shalamcha checkpoint of the province.

A total of 2,310 tons of products were exported via Khosravi checkpoint in Iran’s western Kermanshah province, and 4,850 tons of products were exported through Iran's Mehran checkpoint.
