In 2019, Georgia exported goods worth $131.8 million to the US, which is $28.1 million less compared to 2018, Trend reports referring to Georgian National Statistical Office (Geostat).

Reportedly, in 2018, the value of goods exported by Georgia to the US amounted to $159.9 million.

The decline in Georgia’s exports to the US in 2018 was due to a decrease in ferroalloys exports. In particular, in 2019, Georgia exported 94,843 tons of ferroalloys to the US in the amount of $116.6 million, Meanwhile, in 2018 Georgia exported 114,466 tons of ferroalloys worth $143.8 million to the US.

Last year, wine exports from Georgia to the US increased and amounted to 475,743 liters worth $2.9 million. Export of fruit and vegetable juices amounted to 1,337 tons worth $1.79 million.

Export of pipes and hollow sections from non-ferrous metals from Georgia to the US amounted to 1,447 tons worth $1.3 million.

In addition, in 2019 Georgia exported to the United States 1.84 million liters of mineral and fresh water worth $1.3 million. Export of mineral and refined, sugar-containing waters amounted to 621,855 liters worth $361,600.

Compared to 2018, in 2019 the export of goods for plastic packaging increased by 143 tons and amounted to 221 tons worth $674,500.

In 2019, the export of furniture from Georgia to the US amounted to 288 tons worth $422.4 million.

The export of ethyl alcohol from Georgia to the US decreased by 80 percent and reached 9,374 tons in the amount of $329,800.

Last year, the export of cheese and cottage cheese from Georgia to the US reached 34.2 tons in the amount of $289,600.
