Azerbaijan has manufactured industrial products worth 7.71 billion manat ($4.5 billion) from January through February 2020, Trend reports referring to Azerbaijan State Statistical Committee’s data on March 11.
According to the committee, volume of industrial production in the country has increased by 0.9 percent compared to the same period in 2019.
Output volume of industrial production in Azerbaijan’s non-oil and gas sector has made up almost 2 billion manat ($1.1 billion).
Production in the non-oil and gas sector accounted for 25.5 percent of the country’s total production.
During the reported period, production in the non-oil and gas sector increased by 21.7 percent compared to the same period last year.
From January through February 2020, capital investments in the non-oil and gas industry have increased by 1.8 percent compared to 2019 and exceeded 1 billion manat ($590 million).
In January 2020, industrial products worth 4.2 billion manat ($2.4 billion), which is by 2.1 percent compared to the same period of 2019, were produced by industrial enterprises and individual entrepreneurs operating in this field. Product output in non oil-gas sector of industry increased by 16.6 percent.
Among the industrial products, the share of the mining sector was 68.4 percent, manufacturing sector - 26.4 percent, generation, distribution and supply of electricity, gas and steam - 4.6 percent, and water supply, waste management and remediation activities - 0.6 percent.
