Leading Iranian companies produced 43.5 million tons of iron ore concentrate during 11 months of last Iranian year (from March 21, 2019 to February 19, 2020), Trend reports referring to the website of the Iran Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO).
The production by Iranian companies increased by four percent during 11 months compared to the same period of last Iranian year. Some 41.9 million tons were produced in the same period of last Iranian year.
Gol-E-Gohar Iron Ore Company produced 14.8 million tons of iron ore concentrate, Chadormalu Mining and Industrial Company – 8.89 million tons, Middle East Mines & Mineral Industries Development Holding Company – 4.78 million tons, Iran Central Iron Ore Company – 4.32 million tons, and Gohar Zamin Iron Ore Company - 4.17 million tons.
Opal Persian Sangan Industrial & Mining Company produced over 2.81 million tons of iron ore concentrate, National Industrial and Mining Development Company - 2.12 million tons, Sabanour Mining and Industrial Development Company – 1.04 million tons, and Jalalabad Iron Ore Complex - 460,000 tons.
Five leading mining companies produced over 3.7 million tons of iron ore gravels from March 21, 2019 through February 19, 2020, which is 38 percent less compared to the same period of last Iranian year (six million tons).
Sabanour Mining and Industrial Development Company produced 1.85 million tons of iron ore gravels, Iranian Central Plateau Iron Ore Mines Complex – 758,000 tons, Iran Central Iron Ore Company - 386,000 tons, Sangan Iron Ore Complex – 247,400 tons, and Chadormalu Mining and Industrial Company – 454,000 tons.
Iran's six leading iron ore pellet manufacturers including Chadormalu, Gol-E-Gohar, Middle East Mines & Mineral Industries Development Holding Companies, Opal Persian Sangan Industrial & Mining Company, Sangan Steel Mining Company and Sabanour Mining and Industrial Development Company produced over 24.8 million tons of iron ore pellets during 11 months, which is 1 percent less compared to the same period of last Iranian year (over 25.1 million tons).
