Express Delivery Services & International Shipping DHL has resumed its work in Turkmenistan, Trend reports with reference to the Arzuw NEWS information portal.

The courier service was stopped due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Until now, Turkmenistan hasn't reported any cases.

The outbreak in the Chinese city of Wuhan - which is an international transport hub - began at a fish market in late December 2019. The World Health Organization (WHO) on March 11 declared COVID-19 a pandemic. Some sources claim the coronavirus outbreak started as early as November 2019.

Turkmen Post, the national postal operator of Turkmenistan, does not accept international parcels yet, and the date of resumption of sending international parcels remains unknown. Turkmen Post suspended receiving and sending international parcels, due to the closure of air and land communications between Turkmenistan and other countries at the beginning of 2020.

DHL connects people in over 220 countries and territories worldwide and have more than 360,000 employees. The company delivers integrated services and tailored solutions for managing and transporting letters, goods and information.
