More Turkmen districts have completed wheat harvesting, Trend reports with reference to the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Azerbaijan.
These are Tejeni district of the Ahal region, Bayramaly, Turkmen-Kali and Oghuz Khan districts of the Mary region, and Kerki and Darganatinsky districts of the Lebap region.
Turkmenistan’s Tejeni district of the Akhal region received more than 86,000 tons of wheat, said the ministry.
About 200,000 hectares were allocated for wheat harvesting in this region. In total, the region should deliver 400,000 tons of wheat.
Bayramaly district collected 39,000 tons of wheat, Turkmen-Kali district - over 31,100 of tons and Oghuz Khan district - more than 30,000 tons of grain.
Kerki district received over 20,500 tons of wheat, while Darganatinsky district - more than 5,300 tons.
Meanwhile, the farmers of Ak-Bugday, Serakhs, and Geoktepa districts of the Akhal region, Yoloten and Takhta-Bazar districts of the Mary region, as well as Halach and Koytendag districts of the Lebap region of Turkmenistan announced the completion of wheat harvesting on June 24, 2020.
As last year, Turkmenistan is allocating state land for wheat production to enterprises. Furthermore, the state provides seeds as well as mineral fertilizers and means for combating agricultural pests on preferential terms.
