The sales of 72 Iranian mining industry companies on the Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) exceeded 388 trillion rials (about $9.24 billion) during the first two months of the current Iranian year (March 20-May 20, 2020), Trend reports citing Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO).
The sales of 72 mining industry companies increased by 55 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year.
“The companies’ sales in the second month (April 20-May 20) exceeded 181 trillion rials (about $4.33 billion),” the report said.
The sales of the companies increased by 79 percent in the second month compared to the first month (March 20-April 19).
The share of mining industry companies accounted for 37 percent of the companies selling products on the Iran Mercantile Exchange, according to the report.
The Iranian Mobarakeh Steel Company, National Iranian Copper Industry Company, Khouzestan Steel Company, Golgohar Mining and Industrial Company, Esfahan Steel Company, Chadormalu Mining and Industrial Company, South Hormozgan Steel Company, Kaveh Steel Company, Khorasan Steel Company and Iranian Aluminium Company are in the top 10 in terms of sales.
