Azerbaijan’s export of non-oil products amounted to $721 million from January through May 2020, Trend reports citing the monthly Export Review of the Center for Analyses of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC).
According to the report, the country’s non-oil exports decreased by 8.9 percent over the reporting period, compared to the same period of 2019.
In the first five months of 2020, $271 million worth of non-oil products were exported to Russia, $144.3 million - to Turkey, $70.5 million - to Georgia, $71.5 million - to Switzerland and $23.6 million - to China.
The value of Azerbaijan’s non-oil export to Russia over the mentioned period rose by 3.6 percent, to Switzerland – by 26 percent, and to China – 40.3 percent, added the report.
In May 2020, Azerbaijan exported the non-oil products worth $172.6 million, which is 17.8 percent less compared to May 2019. In this month, most of the non-oil products were exported to Russia. In terms of value, export of these products to Russia amounted to $84.8 million, $23 million – to Switzerland, $22.2 million – to Turkey, $11.7 million - to Georgia, and to China – $5.4 million.
The report noted that Azerbaijan’s total export of non-oil products during the first five months of this year made up $6.9 billion.
