Azerbaijan plans to export agricultural products to Arab countries soon

Azerbaijan intends to expand the export volume to the Arab countries, Yalchin Aliyev, executive director of the Association for Azerbaijan-Arab Countries Cooperation, told Trend.

“Building materials are planned to be exported from Azerbaijan to Oman, Syria and Iraq in 2021,” Aliyev added. “The negotiations with representatives of these countries are already underway and it is planned to export the products till late 2021.”

"The access to this market will be ensured through Jordan, the negotiations in this sphere are already underway," the executive director said. “Food and agricultural products, namely, fruits and vegetables, juices, compotes, canned food, jam, preserves, dried fruits, are mainly planned to be exported.”

"In turn, the business circles of these countries expressed readiness to invest in the pharmaceutical, petrochemical industries, hotel and restaurant business of Azerbaijan,” the executive director said. “Investments should be expected to be made after the end of the pandemic, when investors will be able to come to the country and review the existing conditions on the spot."
