Small business support initiatives are important for Visa company, Christina Dorosh, the company’s director for the Caucasus region, told Trend.
According to Dorosh, the company has announced a new #WhereYouShopMatters global initiative aimed at adapting and developing local small businesses and launched Small Business Hub, a new platform to support small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) in Azerbaijan.
As she noted, the platform will provide the necessary information on how to start, run, and develop small businesses, use a concierge service, and also the section with stories about successful entrepreneurs.
The director also emphasized that further work with SMEs in Azerbaijan, the development of entrepreneurship in the country, including women, are constantly on the company's agenda.
She noted that the company's priority for the near future is also to support and develop the sphere of domestic tourism in Azerbaijan since the COVID-19 pandemic has affected all spheres of life, including tourism.
“Many people are rediscovering the country for themselves, thanks to which travel within the country is becoming very popular,” Dorosh said.
"These are very promising areas for us. Together with partners, we are working on projects in these areas and are preparing to present them in the near future," she concluded.
