Turkmenistan and India signed a memorandum on the exchange of news reports, Trend reports with reference to Turkmenistan’s State News Agency.
The memorandum was signed during a videoconference between Turkmenistan’s State News Agency (TDH) and the Indian Asian News International (ANI) news agency.
According to the signed memorandum, the parties will maintain a regular exchange of operational information and analytical materials on the political, economic, social, cultural and humanitarian life of Turkmenistan and India.
During the videoconference, representatives of ANI were also familiarized with the main directions of Turkmenistan's foreign policy strategy.
The activation of information contacts between Turkmenistan and India is relevant do to the growth points that were outlined during the telephone conversation between President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and President of India Ram Nath Kovind on October 15, 2020.
During the mentioned telephone conversation, the president of Turkmenistan suggested Indian companies to consider the possibility of creating joint high-tech industries in such areas as agriculture, chemical, pharmaceutical, light industry, and production of construction materials based on local raw materials.
