Kazakhstan reports drastic increases in vehicles export, manufacturing

Kazakhstan has exported 8,122 vehicles in 2020, which is three times more than in 2019 (2,629), Trend reports citing Kazakhstan Automobile Business Association.

The exported volume accounted for over 10 percent of the overall vehicle manufacturing volume and was worth 55.9 billion tenge ($133.09 million). Kazakh-manufactured vehicles are in high demand in Russia, Uzbekistan, Belarus, and Kyrgyzstan.

Kazakhs have purchased 93,000 vehicles in 2020, which is 25 percent more than in 2019 (75,156 vehicles). At the same time, two-thirds of the vehicles purchases were of local manufacturing,

The year 2020 was also characterized by an increase in the manufacturing of agricultural vehicles. Thus, Kazakh plants have produced 6,272 agriculture vehicles worth 93 billion tenge ($221.4 million) in 2020. The annual increase in volume was 98.2 percent, whereas the output value increased by 2.5 times.

Kazakh plants have manufactured 3,547 tractors and combine harvesters in 2020, which is 120 percent more than in 2019. The manufacturing of tractors accounted for 2,585 units worth 39 billion tenge ($92.8 million). Some 1,048 tractors were manufactured in the Akmola region, 585 in the Kostanay region, 561 in East Kazakhstan.

In turn, combine harvesters manufacturing stood at 962 units in 2020, which is 567 units more than in 2019.
