Exports of Iranian major steel companies climb

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Jan. 13

The exports of steel ingots and steel products by major Iranian steel companies increased by 35 percent in the 9th month of the current Iranian year (November 21 through December 20, 2020), compared to the same month last Iranian year, Trend reports citing Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO).

According to the report, Iranian major steel companies exported 721,000 tons of steel ingots and steel products over the reporting period.

“Iran's Khouzestan Steel Company exported about 152,000 tons of steel ingots and steel products in the 9th month, Mobarakeh Steel Company - about 125,000 tons, South Kaveh Steel Company - 117,000 tons, Esfahan Steel Company - 86,500 tons,” the reports said.

As well as Iran's Chadormalu Mining and Industrial Company exported 60,800 tons of steel ingots and steel products in 9th month, Kavir Steel Company - 53,800 tons, Hormozgan Steel Company - 30,800 tons, Sirjan Steel World Company - 30,000 tons, Persian Gulf Saba Steel Company - 29,900 tons, Khorasan Steel Company - 25,800 tons, Bonab Steel Company - 9,200 tons, Iran Alloy Steel Company - 772 tons, the report said.

According to the report, Iranian major steel companies exported about 4.77 million tons of steel ingots and steel products in the first nine months of the current Iranian year (March 20 through December 20, 2020). The exports of steel ingots and steel products decreased by 13 percent over the reporting period, compared to the same period last Iranian year.
