Several facilities and infrastructure facilities to be launched in Iran's free trade zones

A total of 60 manufacturing enterprises and infrastructure facilities will be launched in Iran's Qeshm, Anzali free trade zones and Pars Energy, Sahlan, Kave and Qom-Salafchegan special economic zones tomorrow on Jan. 14, the Adviser to the Iranian president and Secretary of the Supreme Council of Iran's Free Trade, Industrial and Special Economic Zones, Morteza Bank told IRIB, Trend reports.

The secretary noted that a total of 30 trillion rials (about $714 million), $260 million and 13 million euro has been spent on these facilities. And 3,220 people will be employed with the launch of these facilities.

Bank added that so, 28 enterprises and infrastructure facilities will be launched in the Qeshm Free Trade Zone. In general, 16 trillion rials (about $380 million) and $260 million have been spent on enterprises and facilities in the zone, and after the launch of these facilities, 2,240 people will be employed. One of these facilities is a heavy crude oil refinery. The refinery will process 35,000 barrels of bitumen daily.

The adviser said that at the same time, 18 enterprises and infrastructure facilities will be launched in the Anzali Free Trade Zone. About 817 trillion rials (about $194 million) have been invested in these facilities and 470 people will be employed with the launch of these facilities.

According to him, a number of facilities will be launched in the Pars Special Economic Energy Zone along with the plant for the production of compressors for refineries. In total, 5 million euros and 300 billion rials (about $7.14 million) have been spent on the enterprises and infrastructure facilities in the zone. And 133 people will be employed.

“In addition, 3 infrastructure facilities will be put into operation in Iran's Kaveh Special Economic Zone. About 3.8 trillion rials (about $90.4 million) have been spent on these facilities. And 200 people will be employed,” he said.

Bank stressed that also, 4 industrial and manufacturing enterprises will be launched in the Sahlan Special Economic Zone. More than 620 billion rials (about $14.7 million) and 5.5 million euros have been spent on these enterprises. About 130 people will be employed as a result.

The secretary added that furthermore 3 manufacturing enterprises will be put into operation in Iran's Salafchegan Special Economic Zone. A total of 220 billion rials (about $5.24 million) and 2.5 million euro has been spent on the enterprises. As a result, 50 people will be employed.
