Iran's capacity to optimize fuel consumption would lead to sustainable network, said the CEO of the National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC) Hassan Montazer Torbati, Trend reports citing IRNA.
"Effective actions were implemented regarding the development of gas network and 95 percent of the country has access to gas network," he said.
"The main responsibility of NIGC is to supply gas and preserving the safety of the network," he said.
"Optimizing fuel consumption is an important part of network development and effect increase of production," he said.
Torbati also added that launching some pipelines in the domestic network and utilizing export and import capacities are on the agenda.
"So far 23 provinces are connected to the gas network and Sistan and Baluchestan, Kerman and Hormozgan provinces would be fully connected to network by the end of the current Iranian year (started March 20,2020), " he said.
