Iran's IMIDRO expands coal concentrate production

The coal concentrate production of two companies under the auspices of the Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO) increased by 5 percent during the first 10 months of the current Iranian year (from March 20, 2020, through January 20, 2021), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Trend reports citing the organization.

According to the report, the Tabas Parvadeh Coal Company and Central Alborz Coal Company produced 583,000 tons of coal concentrate within 10 months. However, this figure was 555,000 tons in the same period last Iranian year.

“The Tabas Parvadeh Coal Company produced about 514,000 tons of coal concentrate, the Central Alborz Coal Company – about 69,500 tons over the reporting period,” the report said.

In 10 months, the two companies extracted 1.43 million tons of mining materials. This is an increase of 7 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year. While in the same period last Iranian year, 1.33 million tons of mining materials were extracted, the report said.

According to the report, the two companies transported about 548,000 tons of concentrate to relevant local companies in ten months. This is a decrease of 4 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year. So, 573,000 tons of coal concentrate were transported to relevant local companies in the same period last Iranian year.
