Iran's raw steel production amounted to about 5.6 million tons during the first two months of the current Iranian year (from March 21 through May 21, 2021), which is an increase of 16 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year, Trend reports citing the Iranian Steel Producers Association (ISPA).
According to the statistics, while in the same period last Iranian year, Iran produced 4.85 million tons of raw steel.
“Furthermore, 3.57 million tons of steel products were produced in Iran over the first month. This is an increase of 10 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year. So, 3.26 million tons of steel products were produced in Iran in the same period last Iranian year,” the statistics said.

According to the statistics, Iran produced 5.59 million tons of sponge iron within the first two months of the current Iranian year. This is an increase of 1 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year.
So, 5.55 million tons of sponge iron were produced in Iran in the same period last Iranian year.
