Buy/sell operations at Iran Mercantile Exchange disclosed

A total of 824,000 tons of goods worth more than 92.2 trillion rials (about $2.19 billion) were sold at the Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) in the last Iranian week (June 12 through June 17, 2021), Trend reports citing the IME’s official website.

This is an increase of 18 percent in terms of value and 31 percent in terms of volume, compared to the preceding Iranian week (June 5 through June 10, 2021).

So, 625,000 tons of goods worth more than 77.9 trillion rials (about $1.85 billion) were sold at the Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) in the preceding Iranian week.

According to the report, about 438,000 tons of goods worth about 51.8 trillion rials (about $1.23 billion) were sold in the industrial and mining products section of IME last week.

"About 185,000 tons of steel, 35,000 tons of iron ore, 4,720 tons of copper, 8,850 tons of aluminum, 250 tons of molybdenum concentrate, 400 tons of coke, 12 tons of precious metal concentrate, 585 tons of zinc ingots, 194,000 tons of cement, 11kg of gold bars and 9,000 tons of sponge iron were sold in this section," the report said.

In addition, more than 383,000 tons of various oil and petrochemical products worth about 39.9 trillion rials (about $951 million) were sold in the oil and petrochemical products section of IME last Iranian week, the report said.

According to the report, 85,000 tons of vacuum bottom, 154,000 tons of bitumen, 66,500 tons of polymeric substances, 31,200 tons of chemicals, 38,000 tons of lube cut, 4,750 tons of base oil, 110 tons of argon, 1,270 tons of sulfur and 45 tons of facades were sold in this section.

Furthermore, 1,970 tons of various products worth 387 billion rials (about $9.21 million) were sold in the submarket section of the exchange.
