Iran's raw steel production amounted to about 9.57 million tons during the first four months of the current Iranian year (from March 21 through July 22, 2021), which is a decrease of 4 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year, Trend reports citing the Iranian Steel Producers Association (ISPA).
While in the first 4 months of the last Iranian year (from March 20 through July 21, 2020), Iran produced 10 million tons of raw steel, according to the statistics.
“Furthermore, 6.47 million tons of steel products were produced in Iran over the 4 months. This is a decrease of 6 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year. So, 6.86 million tons of steel products were produced in Iran in the same period last Iranian year,” the statistics said.

According to the statistics, Iran produced 10.6 million tons of sponge iron within the first four months of the current Iranian year. This shows that there are no changes compared to the same period last Iranian year.
