Trend:

Development of small and medium-sized industries should be the priority of the government, head of Industry, Mine and Trade Organization in Tehran Province, Trend reports citing Mehr News Agency.

Small and medium-sized industries have an important role in the supply chain for big industries and the new administration should support these industries, Yadollah Sadeghi has noted.

"The thirteenth government should provide financial advances, inject budget for completing infrastructures, organize training courses, reduces the share of employer's payment in social security, and organize a domestic and foreign exhibition to develop small and medium-sized industries," he said.

Furthermore small and medium-sized industries have become a solution for a recession by attracting investment, fast results, and creating employment.

Small and medium-sized industries have shared 80 percent of Iran's industries and 45 percent of job creation.

There are currently 505 industrial cities and 324 industrial zones are hosting 48,012 small and medium-sized industries in the country.
