Over the past three years, the growth rate of the number of industrial enterprises operating in Uzbekistan’s economy amounted to 169.7 percent, Trend reports citing Uzbekistan State Statistics Committee.
As of August 1, the number of enterprises operating in the industrial sector, by year: in 2018 – 53,404, in 2019 - 67,549, in 2020 - 77,064, in 2021 - 90 638.
The same pattern can be seen in private enterprises as the growth rate for the last 3 years was 167.2 percent.
Number of private enterprises as of August 1 of different years: in 2018 - 71 853, in 2019 - 82 495, in 2020 - 87,176, in 2021 - 93,593.
Moreover, it is worth noting that in the first half of 2021, 20,236 food processing enterprises in Uzbekistan manufactured products worth $2 million.
The index of the physical volume of the network compared to January - June 2020 amounted to 105 percent.
The largest share in the total volume of products produced by food industry enterprises in the country fell on the city of Tashkent - 15.6 percent (2,972 food industry enterprises), Tashkent region - 12.7 percent (2,144), Samarkand region - 11.2 percent (2,046).
