Kazakhstan's revenue from air cargo transport jumps in value

Kazakhstan’s revenue from the transportation of cargo, luggage, and cargo luggage via air transport amounted to 10.8 billion tenge ($25.4 million) from January through July 2021, which is 93.4 percent more than during the same period of 2020, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.

Revenue from the transportation of cargo, luggage, and cargo luggage via air transport in July 2021 amounted to 1.5 billion tenge ($3.5 million), which is 2.5 times more than during the same period of 2020.

The volume of cargo, luggage and cargo luggage transported via air transport during the reporting period amounted to 19,950 tons, which is 82.7 percent more compared to the same period of last year (3,230 tons in July 2021, increase by 2.2 times year-on-year).

Cargo turnover amounted to 45.5 million ton-kilometers which is 48.8 percent more than during the same period of last year (10.2 million in July 2021, an increase of 2.7 times).

In turn, Kazakhstan’s revenue from passenger transportation amounted to 178.4 billion tenge ($420.8 million) from January through July 2021, which is 64.5 percent more than during the same period of last year. July’s revenue from passenger transportation was 36.8 billion tenge ($87 million), which is 3.4 times more than in July 2020.

The number of transported passengers amounted to 5.1 million people, which is 94.5 percent more than during the same period of last year (941,480 passengers in July 2021, up by 3.08 times).

The passenger turnover amounted to 7.9 billion passenger-kilometers which compared to the same period of last year is an increase of 84.5 percent. The July passenger turnover was 1.6 billion (2.7 times more year-on-year).
