According to the State Statistics Committee, in 2021, the number of newly created business entities (excluding farms) amounted to 59,875, of which small businesses - 59,700, Trend reports citing the Committee.
The number of newly created small businesses in January-July (by years): in 2020 - 54 115; in 2021 - 59,700.
Moreover, as of August 1, 2021, the number of operating small businesses (excluding farms) amounted to 454,975, while by the same period of 2020 this number was 376,982.
It is worth noting that in January-June 2021, the share of small businesses in the total passenger traffic was 94.9 percent. In the regional context, the largest share of small business in the total passenger turnover was in Surkhandarya - 98.6 percent, Samarkand - 98.3 percent, and Jizzakh - 98.1 percent regions.
