Kazakhstan decreases production of some precious metals

Manufacturing of non-processed and semi-processed silver in Kazakhstan amounted to 643,031 kg over the period from January through August 2021, which is 2.9 percent less than during the same period of 2020, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.

According to the data, non-processed and semi-processed silver production amounted to 88,028 kg in August 2021, which is 3.2 percent more than in August 2020.

Manufacturing of non-processed and semi-processed gold increased by 2.9 percent during the reporting period, having amounted to 72,845 kg (10,144 kg in August 2021, a decrease by 2.8 percent compared to August 2020).

Production of non-processed aluminum and aluminum oxide amounted to 1.05 million tons during the reporting period, which indicates a decrease of 4.9 percent compared to the same period of last year.

The production volume of non-processed aluminum and aluminum oxide was 127,132 tons in August 2021, which is 11.7 percent less that in August 2020.

Manufacturing of non-processed refined lead amounted to 72,084 tons over the reporting period, which is 14.3 percent less than during the same period of 2020. The volume of non-processed refined lead produced in August 2021 was 7,849 tons, which is 20.5 percent less than in August 2020.

Production of non-processed zinc amounted to 208,179 tons, which is 0.2 percent more than during the same period of 2020 (24,225 tons in August 2021, down by 1.2 percent compared to August 2020).

As reported, the manufacturing of non-processed non-alloyed refined copper amounted to 296,600 tons, which is 8.7 percent less than during the same period of 2020 (29,683 tons in August 2021, which is 24.8 percent less than in August 2020).

Manufacturing of other non-ferrous metals and products from them amounted to 25,915 tons, which is 24 percent less than during the same period of 2020 (4,665 tons in August 2021, up by 2.6 times compared to August 2020).
