Iran is expecting rise of trade with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) by 25 percent in the current Iranian year (started March 21,2021), following its participation at Dubai EXPO 2020, said the head of Iran-UAE Joint Chamber of Commerce Farshid Farzanegan, Trend reports citing Fars News Agency.
He said Iran is holding talks with the local private sector at Dubai Expo, to see what further actions can be initiated.
Iran's public and private sector have agreed to pay for the costs country's pavilion at the event and the country's biggest mining, tourism and knowledge-based companies are participating at the expo.
The trade between United Arab Emirates and Iran reached around 9.5 million tons valued $7.3 billion in the first five months of the current Iranian year.
Dubai Expo 2020 is set to begin from Oct. 1 to March 31 after it was cancelled due to COVID-19 pandemic.
