Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan have great potential to increase trade turnover in more than 100 types of goods, the Kazakh Ministry of Trade and Integration told Trend on Oct.8.
According to the ministry, more than 80 Kazakh companies export their products to Azerbaijan.
"At the same time, there is great potential for increasing supplies of 105 types of goods worth $272 million, including metallurgical, food, machine-building and chemical products, from Kazakhstan to Azerbaijan," the ministry said.
In order to realize the existing potential, on September 9, 2021, negotiations were held between Kazakh and Azerbaijani businessmen within the framework of a trade mission organized by Kazakhstan, the ministry said.
"Within the framework of the event, six agreements worth more than $30 million were signed. On September 10, during the Turkic business forum, multilateral negotiations were held between business people of the Turkic states," added the ministry.
