Iran's aluminum ingots production increased by 23 percent, during the first six months of the current Iranian year (from March 21 through September 22, 2021), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Trend reports citing Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO).
According to the report, four Iranian aluminum companies produced 261,000 tons of aluminum ingots within 6 months. The figure stood at 212,000 tons in the same period last Iranian year.
"So, the Iranian Aluminum Company produced about 90,600 tons of aluminum ingots, South Aluminum Corporation (SALCO) – 77,800 tons, Al-Mahdi Aluminum Company – 73,500 tons, and Iran Alumina Company – 18,700 tons during 6 months," the report said.
In addition, the Iran Alumina Company produced 116,000 tons of alumina powder in six months, which is a decrease of 5 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year. So, this figure amounted to 122,000 tons in the same period last Iranian year.
As well as the company produced 486,000 tons of bauxite during the mentioned period, which is an increase of 21 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year. So, the bauxite production was 400,000 tons over the same period last Iranian year.
