Iran is looking to open an office to handle cargo barter with Pakistan, also offering a preferrential tariff for trade, said the head of Iran Trade Promotion Organization Alireza Peyman-Pak, Trend reports citing Mehr News Agency.
Iranian trucks have previously stopped at the Pakistan border, however now the goods are being transported to Pakistan's Quetta, he said.
"Iran is seeking to deploy commercial delegations and negotiators to neighboring countries," Peyman-Pak said. "In particular, such delegations have already been sent to Pakistan, Afghanistan, Turkey, and Azerbaijan."
