Construction of gas chemical complex completed in Kazakhstan

The construction of the gas chemical complex in Kazakhstan Atyrau region has been completed, Trend reports citing KazMunayGas National Company.

On December 27, the complex received the first batch of propane from the Tengiz field. In November, the Kazakhstan Petrochemical Industries Inc.company, which operates the project, received nitrogen and dry compressed air. In the summer, electricity to the main step-down substation, and later also the primary demineralized, demineralized and process water from Karabatan Utility Solution LLP was received by the complex. Thus, the plant has completed the acceptance of all energy resources required for commissioning and the subsequent launch of production.

The complex will allow producing up to 500,000 tons of polypropylene annually. The construction of the plant is to be finished in 2021.

KazMunayGas (KMG) National Company is the Kazakhstan operator for the exploration, production, refining, and transportation of hydrocarbons, representing the state interests in the oil and gas industry of Kazakhstan.
