Turkmenistan puts up aviation kerosene for sale, eyes European market

The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan has put up aviation kerosene (Jet A-1) for bidding for the European market, Trend reports referring to the exchange.

According to the quotation, a total of 5,000 tons of aviation kerosene is being sold for $1 million. This particular lot is listed for foreign market only.

The seller is Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries of Turkmenistan (TORC).

The term of the purchase is full prepayment.

Location: Balkan region, Turkmenbashi, Turkmenistan. The trades at the exchange are held from Monday to Friday.

The Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries began production of Jet A-1 aviation kerosene in July 2021. This type of fuel is widely used in gas turbine engines of civil aviation aircraft in Europe, the US and Canada, including Airbus and Boeing airliners.

The new fuel obtained as a result of deep purification of raw materials meets international aviation standards and is certified by the Main State Service Türkmenstandartlary.

Recently, the Turkmenbashi Refinery began production of aviation gasoline for light single-engine AN-2 aircraft. Previously, this fuel used in small aircraft for agricultural work was imported from abroad.

The number of transactions registered at the State Commodity for January 17 through 22 was 26 with the total amount of $54 million.
