Iran to accelerate integration of startups into capital market

TEHRAN, Iran, April 5. Iranian Parliament is pursuing to accelerate startup trade in the capital market, said the head of parliament's Economic Commission Mohammad Reza Pour Ebrahimi, Trend reports citing IRNA.

"The economic commission is expected to use its capacities for the participation of these companies in the stock exchange to finance them via the capital market," he said.

There are 6,700 active startups in Iran that are valued at 400 trillion rials (about $95 billion). The parliament is finalizing a bill to increase the production of startups in the coming weeks.

Venture capital companies will also be accepted in capital markets while the commission will offer short and long term plans to help startups.
