TEHRAN, Iran, April 12. Iran and Turkey to hold a joint steel conference in May, the head of Iran -Turkey Joint Chamber of Commerce Mehrdad Saadat Dehghan told Trend.
"Iran -Turkey Joint Chamber of Commerce is pursuing to increate trade with Turkey by creating an atmosphere for businessmen and investors of the two countries to know each other," he said.
He went on to say that the recent two-day joint conference in Istanbul (March 30-31) has reviewed the investment opportunities and was well received by Iranian and Turkish companies.
Iran Consul General in Istanbul, the Turkish MPs, and the Mayor of Istanbul have also attended meeting sessions that were held between Iranian and Turkish companies on the second day of the conference.
According to the official, Iran -Turkey Joint Chamber of Commerce hopes to hold specialized conferences in various fields including steel, plastic industries, and carpet, and the first specialized conference will be in the field of steel.
