BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 13. Iran exported a total of 259,008 tons of goods worth $129,492,773 to Azerbaijan through the Astara customs in the Gilan Province, over the last Iranian year (March 21, 2021 through March 20, 2022), according the official statistics of Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) obtained by Trend.

The main exported goods through Astara customs for the reporting period were agricultural products, industrial and mining products, petrochemicals, clothes, shoes, carpets, etc.

“In addition, Iran imported about 3,426 tons of goods worth $1,685,987 from Azerbaijan through Iran's Astara customs within last Iranian year,” the statistics said.

The imported goods were mainly pipes, profiles, batteries, accumulator spare parts, compressed soybeans, electronic spare parts and etc.

In total, Iran's trade turnover with Azerbaijan for the last Iranian year amounted to about 852,000 tons worth about $608 million.

The trade turnover between the two countries increased by 93 percent in value compared to the preceding Iranian year (March 20, 2020 through March 20, 2021).
