BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 9. Exports from Iran’s Yazd Province increased by 32.7 percent in value and 5 percent in volume, over the last Iranian year (March 21, 2021, through March 20, 2022), compared to the preceding Iranian year (March 20, 2020 - March 20, 2021), Chairman of the Industry, Mine, and Trade Organization of the Yazd Province, Mohammad Reza Alamdar Yazdi said, Trend reports citing the organization’s website.
According to Alamdar Yazdi, a total of 311,000 tons of goods worth $491 million were exported from the province within the last Iranian year.
He also added that the main exported goods were ceramics, steel products, various hydrocarbon products, profiles, glassware, cables, pistachios, etc.
The chairman stressed that the province's goods were exported to several countries, including Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Turkey, the UAE, Uzbekistan, Oman, Kazakhstan, and etc.
“Furthermore, 104,000 tons of goods worth $268 million were imported to Iran’s Yazd Province over the last Iranian year,” Alamdar Yazdi noted.
The official said that the imported goods were mainly equipment and spare parts for manufacturing enterprises, electrical and electronic products, various chemicals and agricultural fertilizers.
