BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 19. The value of the gross domestic product (GDP) in Iran’s oil-gas sector increased by 10.1 percent, over the last Iranian year (March 21, 2021 through March 20, 2022), compared to the preceding Iranian year (March 20, 2020 through March 20, 2021), Trend reports via the statistics of Central Bank of Iran (CBI).
According to the statistics, the value of GDP in the oil-gas sector for last Iranian year amounted to about 1.16 quadrillion rials (about $27.5 billion).
Meanwhile, in the preceding Iranian year, the figure stood at 1.05 quadrillion rials (about $25 billion).
The share of the oil-gas sector in Iran's GDP was 7 percent.
In total, the value of Iran’s GDP (including crude oil) amounted to 14.6 quadrillion rials (about $347 billion) over the last Iranian year. This is an increase of 4.4 percent compared to the preceding Iranian year. So, the figure stood at 13.9 quadrillion rials (about $332 billion) in the preceding Iranian year.
