BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 22. The production volume of iron ores in Kazakhstan amounted to 28.9 million tons from January through June 2022, which is 10 percent less than during the same period of 2021, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.
According to the data, iron ores production amounted to 4.07 million tons in June 2022, which is 25.2 percent less than in June 2021.
Production of copper ores grew by 2.4 percent compared to the same period last year, having amounted to 64.3 million tons (11.7 million tons in June 2022, an increase by 13.4 percent compared to the same month in 2021).
Production of zinc and copper ores amounted to 2.7 million tons during the reporting period, which indicates an increase of 4.1 percent compared to the same period of last year.
The production volume of zinc and copper ores was 479,300 tons in June 2022, which is 14.1 percent more than in June 2021.
Production of gold ores amounted to 19.1 million tons over the reporting period, which is 22.6 percent more than during the same period of 2021. The volume of gold ores produced in June 2022 was 3.7 million tons, which is 19.8 percent more than in June 2021.
Production of lead and zinc ores amounted to 4.5 million tons, which is 8.6 percent more than during the same period of 2021 (890,300 tons in June 2022, up by 9.6 percent compared to June 2021).
As reported, the production of manganese ores amounted to 191,000 tons, which is 69 percent less than during the same period of 2021 (21,500 tons in June 2022, a decrease of 82.8 percent compared to June 2021).
Production of chrome ores amounted to 29 million tons, which is 2.5 percent more than during the same period of 2021 (529,000 tons in June 2022, an increase of 4.6 percent compared to June 2021).
