BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 2. Iran’s exports through the customs of Sistan and Baluchestan Province (south-eastern Iran) decreased by 11 percent in value and 12 percent in volume, during the first four months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through July 22, 2022), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Supervisor of Sistan and Baluchestan Province Customs Office Mohammad Ali Khashi said, Trend reports citing Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA).
The official noted that 1.16 million tons of goods worth $380 million were exported through the province's customs over 4 months.
“The exported goods were mainly cement, gas, dates, various vegetables, including tomatoes, apples, raisins, washing powder and etc. These goods were mainly exported to Pakistan, Afghanistan, India, Iraq, the UAE, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Indonesia,” he added.
Khashi also said that 698,000 tons of goods worth $570 million were imported via the customs of Sistan and Baluchestan Province within the mentioned period.
According to him, the imports increased by 73 percent in value and 29 percent in volume compared to the same period last Iranian year.
Khashi pointed out that among the imported goods were wheat, rice, corn, mango, bananas, potatoes, tea, various fabrics, auto spare parts and so on. The goods were imported from Russia, Pakistan, France, Afghanistan, India, the UAE, China and Thailand.
