TEHRAN, Iran, August 16. Iran is planning to produce more than 3.7 million tons of chicken meat and eggs in the current Iranian year (started March 21, 2022), said the Director General of Poultry Office in the Ministry of Agriculture Omid Amini, Trend reports citing ISNA.
Iran's Ministry of Agriculture has predicted the production of 2.6 million tons of chicken meat and 180,000 tons of eggs in the current year, he said adding that the country's production capacity is more than the current prediction.
Iran's egg production reached 87,000 tons in the first four months of the current Iranian year and it has been planned to increase to 90,000 tons of eggs per month, he indicated.
He pointed out that Iran has exported 2,100 tons of eggs and 7 million fertilized eggs and 2,000 tons of chicken meat from March 21 to August 9.
According to the official, the administration plans to eliminate all limitations in export including cutting export tariffs and supporting the supply of domestic demands.
