Iran provides loans for dev't of livestock, poultry production

BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 22. Iran has issued loans worth about 80 trillion rials (about $1.9 billion) for development of livestock and poultry production in the country since the beginning of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2022), an official of Iranian Ministry Agriculture Jihad Omid Amini said, Trend reports citing the ministry.

“In general, it is planned to provide loans worth 200 trillion rials (about $4.76 billion) in Iran for animal husbandry and poultry farming for the current Iranian year (March 21, 2022 through March 20, 2023),” the official said.

Amini added that the loans are given at 10 percent, 12 percent and 16 percent to entrepreneurs engaged in livestock and poultry farming according to their production capacity and capabilities.

He also pointed out that production in the mentioned areas will increase by 30-40 percent in the next 2 years as a result of the loans.
