BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 10. The value of Iran's foreign trade turnover with Türkiye amounted to $5.3 billion during the first six months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through September 22, 2022), Spokesman for the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA), Rouhollah Latifi said, Trend reports citing the administration.

The spokesman said that Iran exported goods worth more than $2.62 billion to Türkiye in 6 months, which is an increase of 14 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year.

Latifi added that Türkiye accounted for 11 percent of Iran's total exports for 6 months.

“In addition, Iran imported goods worth $2.68 billion from Türkiye for the reporting period, which is an increase of 10 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year,” he noted.

The customs official also pointed out that Türkiye accounted for 10 percent of Iran's total imports for 6 months.

"In recent years, Türkiye has always been one of the important trade partners of Iran. Cooperation between the two countries is developing in economic, trade, transit and other areas," he stressed.
