BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 5. In total, approximately 1.72 million tons of goods were imported through the ports of Iran’s Mazandaran Province in the north of the country, during the first nine months of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2022 through December 21, 2022), Director of International Transit and Transport Department of Mazandaran Province Mohammad Bakeri said, Trend reports citing Iranian Ministry of Roads and Urban Development.

As reported, there are a total of 3 ports operating in Iran's Mazandaran Province - Noshahr, Fereidoonkenar and Amirabad ports.

“Among the province’s ports, the most active one in 9 months was the Amirabad port,” Bakeri said.

The director also pointed out that the main imported goods through ports of Mazandaran Province for 9 months were mainly corn feed, wheat and various cooking oils.

Overall, 1.75 million tons of goods worth approximately $1.06 billion were imported through the customs of Iran’s Mazandaran Province within the first nine months of the current Iranian year.
