BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 9. Iran's export of non-oil products to the African countries amounted to 2.2 million tons worth $1.09 billion from the beginning of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2022) to January 1, 2023, Deputy Chairman of the Iranian-African Businessmen's Club Rouhollah Latifi said, Trend reports.
The deputy chairman said that in general, Iran exported goods to 44 countries of the African continent within the mentioned period.
“So, Iran mainly exported products worth $281 million to the Republic of South Africa, worth $189 million to Mozambique, worth $144 million to Ghana, worth $141 million to Sudan, and worth $129 million to Nigeria. The mentioned 5 countries accounted for 80 percent of Iran's total non-oil exports to African countries in terms of value,” he added.
As for Iran's non-oil trade turnover with African countries for the reporting period, Latifi noted that the trade turnover amounted to 2.29 million tons worth approximately $1.17 billion.
